Searching with Linguee is also easy, with in depth directions and explanations on the About pate as well as simple tabs to direct users to the right place.

To register for Linguee, a new user can click the small black “Login” link at the top of the homepage (in the grey navigation bar). This takes the user to the login page, which contains another small link that reads “register here for free”. Clicking the link will bring the user to the registration form. The user is asked for a desired login name, password, a full name (which is not visible to others), email address, and an email newsletter opt in check box. After verifying the code for spam protection and clicking the grey “Create your account” button, the user is advised to check their email to complete account verification.

Even though Linguee is a specialized search engine, it is still offering a similar service. Just like other search engines, Linguee does not require a fee from users. Encouraging people to frequent the site is important, and keeping account creation and use free is a good way to achieve that goal. The site also contains no advertising (at this point in time), which really enhances the users experience along with the free account.
